LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THIRD DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL SEAT:

As of the end of business on Thursday, March 7 th , there are 19 candidates for the special election for the Third Congressional District, left vacant by the death of Congressman Walter Jones. There is one more day left to file and word is there will be more to add to the Democrat and Republican lists.
There are 4 Democrat, 13 Republican, 1 Constitution and 1 Libertarian candidates. We’ll give you their names in a special update once the list is complete. If the candidates will let us know, we’ll let you know when they schedule any Meet & Greet or other events so you can meet them and/or ask questions.

The primary election will be held on April 30th .
