SAFMC Meets This Week

The South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council (SAFMC) meets this week. The meeting will be held at the North Charleston Marriott located at 4770 Goer Drive, North Charleston, SC. There is also a virtual option to listen and provide public comment.

There are not a lot of species specific management decisions occurring at this meeting but there are a whole lot of overall management changes/modifications being considered at the SAFMC right now, especially in Red Snapper and Snapper Grouper management.

I encourage anyone and everyone involved in any SAFMC managed fisheries to pay close attention to these issues; stay involved and ask questions!
