LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

11.14.2022

GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS

The 2022 election is now history and it’s time to begin updating the contact information for the US Senate & House and the North Carolina General Assembly.

Ted Budd won the US Senate race; Greg Murphy and David Rouzer won their re-election bids for their respective Congressional seats and there were no surprises for the NC Senate & House races on the coast. Many were unopposed. Probably the most watched was former Representative Bobby Hanig who ran for the Senate in a predominantly Democrat district. Bobby won his race.

For those who watch what goes on in Raleigh, you’ll be interested that Representative Billy Richardson decided not to run for re-election and Representative Larry Yarborough was defeated.

We’ll have more to add over the next few weeks. The 2023 “long” session won’t get going in earnest till sometime in February.

God bless,

Jerry
