We had a fantastic showing today at the general assembly! Everyone we spoke with said this was the biggest crowd to ever walk the halls and passionately support their cause! Everyone had lots of positive conversations with Representatives.
CERTAIN REPRESENTATIVES ARGUED TO DELAY THE VOTE TO GIVE A CHANCE FOR CCA AND OTHER ANTI SHRIMPING GROUPS ANOTHER DAY TO LOBBY AGAINST YOU!
We need everyone out here again who cares about North Carolina’s seafood industry to be back in Raleigh, Wednesday June 25th by 9:00am, to help the NCFA convince the N.C. House of Representatives to oppose the trawl ban approved by the Senate last week!
We will not have anything setup out front tomorrow because we do not have any permits ready, just come on inside and begin talking to everyone and let them know we are still here, and we deserve due process!
