Southeast Data, Assessment & Review (SEDAR) 90, which will address the stock assessment for Atlantic Red Snapper with data through 2024 will be holding a data workshop in Charleston, SC this week. The workshop will be held at the Town and Country Inn and Suites located at 2008 Savannah Highway Charleston, SC 29405 April 28th – May 2nd, 2025.
The goals of the data workshop are to compile life history information, abundance indices, and catch statistics; evaluate and critique available datasets; provide data for assessment analyses, and draft the data workshop reports. The working groups are as follows: commercial landings, recreational landings, life history, indices, social/economics and environmental considerations. Much of the workshop will be devoted to workgroup sessions where data will be compiled and documented. Plenary sessions to resolve issues will be scheduled as needed based on group progress. Consensus recommendations should be available at the end of the workshop.Â
Public participation during SEDAR Data Workshops is allowed. The Chair is free to call on the public for comment as necessary and appropriate during workshop deliberations. Written public comment should be submitted using the online submission form.

We are collecting responses up until Monday, May 5th. The results will be available publicly on our social media and website.
