We are saddened to report the passing of Randy Jackson Millis of Sneads Ferry, NC.

Board of Directors, members and staff of NCFA offer the family our prayers and condolences.

Randy Jackson Millis

Randy Jackson Millis, age 67, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina was welcomed into Jesus’ arms on June 30, 2017.

He was a loving father, granddad, brother, and a lifelong commercial fisherman. He spent many years on a shrimp boat continuing the legacy that was passed down to him. When he could no longer be out on the boat, he would be found down at the fishhouse everyday waiting for the boats to come in, anxious to see today’s catch and to pass his knowledge down to the next generation.

He was born October 21, 1949, in Jacksonville, NC; the son of Jack and Edith (Rochelle) Millis.
Randy is survived by his beloved dog, Sissy; his children, Randy (Tammy) Millis of Sneads Ferry, NC, Michael (Kendra) Millis of Sneads Ferry, NC, Sheri (Eric) Shuster of Republic, MO, Becky Corcoran of Harpers Ferry, WV and Amy (Brandon) Turner of Florissant, MO; grandchildren Nikki (Josh) Stolzenbach, Tanner Millis, Ethan Millis, Naomi Millis, Korbin Millis, Payton Cron, Avery Shuster, Cameron Shuster, Brandon Cron, Trevor Corcoran, Taylor Corcoran, Conrad Turner and Crosby Turner; great-granddaughter, Natalie Millis and great-grandson, JD Stolzenbach; brother, Donnie Millis of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Kathryn (Glenn) Batts of Surf City, NC; and Kathleen (Danny) Justice of Hampstead, NC; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Millis.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at New River Community Church of God and funeral services to immediately follow with the Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Jack Millis Cemetery. Thereafter, we will be welcoming family and friends for food and celebration of his life at his residence.
