NCFA BOARD MET MONDAY
NCFA’s Board of Directors met on Monday, August 14th. They welcomed new Board member Chrissy Fulcher Cahoon of Oriental.
In addition, the Board offered best wishes to Peggy Page as she left NCFA after 8+ years as the group’s bookkeeper, and welcomed Aundrea O’Neal as she stepped in to fill the gap for the administrative duties for NCFA and continue as Editor of Tradewinds.
Executive Director Glenn Skinner announced that longtime Board member Henry Daniels has submitted his resignation.
On behalf of all of the members and staff at NCFA, we offer a sincere thank you and best wishes to Peggy and a big welcome to Chrissy and Aundrea! As for Henry Daniels, he and his wife Joyce have more than done their part over the years with Henry being a member of NCFA’s Board for a long time and Joyce was active for many years with the Pamlico Auxiliary and a proud member of “The Ladies of Hobucken”. Thank you both for your years of service to commercial fishing families!

N.C. MARINE FISHERIES COMMISSION DOES IT AGAIN!
The NC Marine Fisheries Commission met in Raleigh this week and they just can’t quite learn from experience. They have started a process for a supplement for the Striped Bass Fishery Management Plan with recommendations for a significant reduction in the commercial quota. More details in a few days!
